Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Suren Raghavan was sworn in as the State Minister of Education Services, and Reforms earlier today.
His appointment comes, however, shortly after Raghavantook to his social media calling on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to resign.
Taking to his Facebook, Raghavan wrote "Mr. President (thank you for your service). Form a caretaker Government soon, and resign".
Raghavan's appointment followed that of MP Shantha Bandara, who was appointed as the State Minister of Agriculture, making him the second SLFP MP to accept a portfolio within the current Government.
