Local Galle-Matara road blocked due to protest

The Galle-Matara road has been blocked due to a protest organized against the recent increase in fuel prices.

Our correspondent said that even fishermen were protesting in front of the Galle bus stand.

He said the protesters were currently moving towards the Southern Province Governor's Secretariat.

Traffic on the road was also disrupted due to the protest.
