Four treasure hunters nabbed in Manmunai

Four persons, who were engaged in treasure hunting on a farmland in Iruddusolaimadu in South Manmunai, were arrested following a tip-off on 18 April, Vavunativu Police said yesterday (19).
The treasure hunters had dug a 20-foot deep trench using electric equipment, according to Police.
Motor pumps, drilling machines, explosives, gelignite sticks, a crane motor, cables and four bicycles were found in the suspects’ possession.
