10 out of 17-member Cabinet linked to former politicos

Several key factors have been identified in relation to the new Cabinet appointed this morning (18).
While no female Parliamentarians were given any portfolios within the new Cabinet, it is also important to note that10 of the 17-member Cabinet are related to fromer politicians.
While eight of them were identified as sons of former politicos, two others were identified as the brother and nephew.
Listed below are the ten Ministers and their relevant links to the aforementioned former Politicians;
*Dinesh Gunawardena (Minister of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government) - son of Philip Gunawardena
*Ramesh Pathirana (Minister of Plantations, Minister of Education) - son of Richard Pathirana
*Prasanna Ranatunga (Minister of Tourism, Minister of Public Security) - son of Reggie Ranatunga
*Dilum Amunugama (Minister of Transport, Minister of Industries) - nephew of Sarath Amunugama
*Kanaka Herath (Minister of Highways) - son of Mahipala Herath
*Vidura Wickramanayake (Minster of Labour) - son of Ratnasiri Wickramanayake
*Shehan Semasinghe (Minister of Trade, Minister of Samurdhi Development) - son of H.B. Semasinghe
*Kanchana Wijesekara (Minister of Power, Minister of Energy) - son of Mahinda Wijesekera
